About The Position

The Senior Quotations Specialist manages the quotations process from receiving a request through submitting a quote to the customer. The role communicates with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and manufacturer representatives to gather the information needed to prepare quotations. The specialist learns Graybar product lines, pricing mechanics, and computer systems to produce quotations that support profitable sales.

Requirements

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• High school education.

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of experience preferred.
• Four-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of material.
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information.
• Work with sales representatives and customer service representatives.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time, accurate quotations.
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material and determine and price differences to provide complete comparisons.
