About The Position

The Quotations Specialist manages the quotation process from receiving a request through submitting a quote to the customer. The role involves communicating with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and manufacturer representatives to gather the information needed to prepare quotations. The specialist learns Graybar’s product lines, pricing mechanics, and computer systems to provide quotations that result in profitable sales.

Requirements

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
• High school education.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of experience preferred.
• A two-year degree in Business or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of material.
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers to provide accurate, on-time quotations.
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to identify and price differences for complete comparisons.
