About The Position

The Quotations Specialist obtains market intelligence and prepares quotes for projects in the PVF (pipes, valves, and fittings) industry, using sales experience and technical knowledge. The role sources products according to customer specifications and delivery requirements and prices large project bids. It supports financial results and customer satisfaction while pursuing sales goals for new and existing accounts.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Proven ability to strengthen relationships with key accounts.
• Ability to prospect new accounts through professional networking, industry research, and cold calling.
• Strong understanding of the PVF industry (pipes, valves, and fittings).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with presentation and liaison skills.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Source products according to customer specifications and delivery requirements and price large project bids.
• Maximize financial results, including profit margins, while meeting customer timelines and specifications.
• Build relationships with vendors and other stakeholders to improve customer service and satisfaction.
• Attain and exceed sales goals by increasing market share among new and existing accounts.
• Review customer specifications to ensure quotes are prepared accordingly.
• Obtain market intelligence and prepare quotes for PVF industry projects.
