About The Position

The Quotations Specialist manages the quotations process from receiving a request through submitting the quote to the customer. The role communicates with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and manufacturer representatives to gather the details needed to prepare quotations. The specialist learns Graybar’s product lines, pricing mechanics, and computer systems to provide quotations that result in profitable sales for the Company. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The expected starting pay is $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
• High school education.
• At least 2 years of experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year degree in Business or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of material.
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotations.
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to identify and price differences for complete comparisons.
