About The Position

As Senior Product Manager, Technical (Analytic Platform), you will lead QXO’s unified analytics and AI platform from early adoption through company-wide use and general availability. The platform is intended to provide executives, branch managers, sellers, and analysts with a trusted place for dashboards, data apps, and natural-language questions using certified data. You will own the platform roadmap and work with platform engineering, data, design, security, AI engineering, and business leaders. The role focuses on making the platform fast, secure, affordable, reliable, and trusted at scale. This includes organizationally aligned permissions, fast page loads, controlled cost per page view, reliable releases, and an AI assistant that answers questions using governed data or declines when appropriate. You will coordinate cohort-based launches, align stakeholders across the business, and measure success through weekly active use and trust.

Requirements

At least 6 years of technical product management experience, including at least 3 years on analytics, BI, or data platforms.
At least 3 years of experience taking technical products from 0:1 end to end.
Proven experience launching and scaling an internal or B2B platform to thousands of users, including rollout, training, and adoption.
Experience defining requirements for identity and access, performance, reliability, and cost in cloud-based products.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and BI tools such as BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, and with how dashboards query data at scale.
Experience working with executive stakeholders and turning competing requests into a clear, prioritized roadmap.
Strong planning, prioritization, and cross-functional communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

MBA or an advanced technical degree.
Experience with semantic layers, metrics stores, or embedded analytics.
Experience shipping LLM or AI assistant features with evaluations and guardrails.
Experience with FinOps or cost management for cloud data workloads.
Experience moving users from legacy BI tools to a new platform.

Responsibilities

Develop and communicate the analytics platform vision, strategy, and roadmap through general availability, aligning with engineering, data, and business leaders.
Plan and manage launches and user cohorts end to end, including scope, audience, go/no-go criteria, communications, training, support, and post-launch follow-up.
Define requirements and release gates for access and permissions, performance, cost controls, data freshness, reliability, release and rollback processes, and usage instrumentation.
Partner with executives, business leaders, and analysts to prioritize dashboards and data apps, establish one home for each metric, and incorporate feedback into the roadmap.
Work with security and identity teams to implement role-based and row-level access tied to the organization hierarchy, along with access requests and approvals.
Partner with AI engineering on natural-language questions and insights, including evaluations, accuracy standards, and guardrails before expansion.
Inventory legacy reports and BI tools by usage and lead migration waves onto the platform.
Define and use success metrics—including weekly active users, page speed, cost per page view, freshness, and permission accuracy—to drive continuous improvement.
