CAIS•New York, NY

About The Position

CAIS is hiring a hands-on Senior Product Manager to lead its Core Platform team. The team owns shared platform capabilities used by other CAIS product teams, including identity and access management, learning management, the homepage, the public website, enterprise authentication, firm and user administration, permissions, and regulatory workflows that keep user records accurate, secure, and auditable. The Senior Product Manager will set product direction for a small, high-surface-area team and work closely with engineering leadership to sequence the backlog against capacity. The role also connects the Core team with dependent squads, including Capital Markets, Funds, Marketing, Sales, and Data, and defines clear boundaries between shared platform services and the implementations owned by consuming teams. CAIS expects this person to use and experiment with AI tools daily to improve product outcomes across research, requirements, prioritization, and results measurement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated product management experience, including leading platform or infrastructure product areas, ideally in fintech or another regulated B2B environment.
  • Experience leading day-to-day product delivery with engineering teams, including backlog refinement, planning, and release coordination.
  • Understanding of compliance-adjacent product work, such as identity verification, regulatory identifiers, sanctions/KYC-style screening, or audit trail requirements in a regulated industry.
  • Ability to define ownership boundaries between shared-services teams and consuming teams and maintain those boundaries with engineering peers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain infrastructure and platform work in business-impact terms to executive and non-technical audiences while remaining technically credible with engineering counterparts.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Auth0 or a comparable identity provider.
  • Experience with IAM concepts, including authentication (SSO/SAML/OAuth), authorization and permissions models, and multi-tenant firm/user/role hierarchies.
  • Familiarity with Team Topologies or other platform/shared-services team operating models.
  • Experience in wealth management, alternative investments, or broader capital markets technology.
  • Exposure to learning management systems or compliance education platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own product direction for Core Platform, including IAM, Access Manager, firm/user/role/team administration, enterprise authentication, content and learning management systems, and shared frameworks and services.
  • Drive platform modernization, including self-service firm administration, bulk user management, authentication approaches, and improvements to a widely used platform interface.
  • Own the enterprise authentication roadmap, including firm-context resolution for multi-firm and dually registered advisors, SSO migrations, and login and session experience.
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal on identity-integrity and regulatory workflows.
  • Set direction for CAIS IQ platform modernization, the firm's learning and compliance education product.
  • Evaluate emerging initiatives and provide leadership with evidence-based build/no-build recommendations.
  • Lead day-to-day product work, including organization practices, backlog refinement, and prioritization.
  • Represent team priorities in cross-functional planning and translate infrastructure trade-offs into business-impact language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering leadership on resourcing and sequencing decisions.
