Senior Product Manager (Brands)

Manychat, Inc•New York, NY

About The Position

Manychat is hiring a Senior Product Manager to help build Manychat for Brands, an early-stage influencer marketing product that enables brands and agencies to use direct-message automation across creator campaigns and measure which creators and posts generate customer interest. The role is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule, initially in the office two days per week, and reports to the Product Director, Manychat for Brands. The product manager will serve as the primary point of contact for US customers while helping build the product's core alongside product, design, and engineering teammates. The role spans customer onboarding and support, product discovery and roadmap decisions, writing specifications, and working with design and engineering from problem definition through launch. The team is moving the product from MVP toward a more complete, customer-loved offering, with substantial ownership and no fixed product lane. The role also emphasizes hands-on building and automation. The product manager will learn from manually running onboarding, automate appropriate work, and create, host, and deploy interactive prototypes using AI tools for customer testing. They will use coding agents to assess technical complexity and use MCPs, APIs, and connectors to reduce manual work. Prototypes, research, and decisions should be maintained in GitHub for team collaboration. Success in the first 90 days means helping move the product from MVP to MLP, removing product duct tape, bringing customer insights into roadmap changes, shipping improvements or new capabilities, and taking ownership of onboarding and support for US customers. The role involves regular customer interaction, collaboration with a mostly Barcelona-based engineering team, morning overlap with Barcelona, and travel to Barcelona about once a quarter, possibly more often during the first few months.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience.
  • B2B product experience, gained at a startup or a larger company.
  • Entrepreneurial experience, such as founding a venture or working at an early-stage startup.
  • A public GitHub profile with commits within the past 12 months.
  • Experience taking a prototype or tool from an idea to something people use.
  • AI is a core part of the candidate's working approach, including prototyping, research synthesis, analysis, and automating repetitive work.
  • Ability to lead customer kickoff calls, receive difficult feedback constructively, provide support, and translate customer input into product work.
  • Clear writing skills for specifications, customer updates, and decision documents.
  • Curiosity, low ego, willingness to investigate how things work, and comfort making decisions with incomplete information.
  • Based in New York City and able to work in the office two days per week initially.
  • Able to overlap mornings with the Barcelona-based team.
  • Willingness to travel to Barcelona about once a quarter, potentially more often during the first few months.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in influencer marketing, the creator economy, marketing technology, or advertising technology.
  • Experience building products for agencies or other multi-client B2B users.
  • Experience building on Meta or TikTok platforms.
  • Experience taking a product from 0 to 1, at a startup or within a larger company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding for new US brand and agency customers, including kickoff calls, account setup, and helping teams and creators get live.
  • Act as the first point of contact in shared Slack channels with design partners and customers; answer questions, resolve creator issues, and turn feedback into prioritized work.
  • Join sales conversations as a product expert when useful to advancing a deal.
  • Maintain an evidence-based understanding of customer obstacles and willingness to pay to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Own core product areas, starting with automations, account sign-up and access, and API access.
  • Help take the product from MVP to MLP and replace fragile or improvised product foundations with more durable solutions.
  • Write clear, concise specifications that enable the team to build without ambiguity.
  • Work with design and engineering from problem definition through production and follow through after launch.
  • Partner with another senior product manager on the product's first paid capabilities.
  • Use lessons from design partners and early customers to shape and prioritize future product bets, bringing an informed point of view.
  • Run and learn from manual onboarding, then automate processes that do not require human involvement.
  • Design, build, host, and deploy interactive prototypes using AI tools and test them with customers before requesting engineering resources.
  • Use coding agents to make an initial assessment of technical complexity and estimates.
  • Use MCPs, APIs, and connectors to reduce manual information transfer between tools.
  • Keep prototypes, research, and decisions in GitHub so the team can access and build on them.
