Senior Product Manager, Resident Onboarding

Second Nature
•$170,000 - $185,000•Remote

About The Position

Second Nature is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own Resident Onboarding Lift, an onboarding product built jointly with AppFolio and delivered exclusively to AppFolio property managers. Resident onboarding is the starting point for each resident’s relationship with Second Nature and an important path to the Resident Benefits Package. The role focuses on converting partnership bookings into enrolled, revenue-generating clients and has ownership of the product side of that work. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports. The role owns the product roadmap and outcomes, including AppFolio door enablement, enrollment rate, and resident adoption. It requires deep understanding of AppFolio’s platform, roadmap, property managers, and move-in workflows, and close collaboration with AppFolio product and leadership teams, Second Nature engineering, go-to-market, marketing, and support. The product manager will drive joint partner calls and commitments, write clear requirements, coordinate launches, and model discovery-through-iteration practices. During the first 12 months, the role is expected to establish and execute a prioritized roadmap aligned with company goals and customer needs; build an effective working partnership with AppFolio and influence its product strategy; translate customer insight and business priorities into clear requirements and technical tradeoffs; establish disciplined discovery, experimentation, and iteration; and deliver measurable improvements in activation, enrollment, onboarding performance, and resident experience. The position is remote-first and work-from-home, available to candidates anywhere in the US. Second Nature generally works East Coast hours, with some flexibility. Employees must be available during scheduled working hours, have a quiet professional workspace and reliable high-speed internet, and attend bi-annual in-person company meetings. Business travel for those meetings is reimbursed according to company guidelines.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing a major partner’s strategy and roadmaps.
  • Ability to influence internal leadership, external partners, and customers, including confidence in debates with senior executives and judgment about when to push or hold back.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to earn engineering’s trust and make architecture tradeoffs.
  • Curiosity and passion for the market and product, with a strong drive to understand product performance and why results occur.
  • Ability to work remotely during scheduled hours and maintain a quiet, professional, distraction-free workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
  • Availability to attend bi-annual in-person company meetings.
