About the position
The job overview for this role is that Customer.io is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the team in making their messaging solution the go-to choice for mobile app teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the roadmap for this fast-growing product area, shaping features and SDKs that meet the needs of mobile app developers. They will work closely with developers to understand their requirements and partner with their squad to deliver software that enables them to implement their messaging strategies effectively. Responsibilities
- Lead the mobile squad in achieving strategic outcomes with valuable, viable, usable, and feasible solutions
- Develop a deep knowledge of prospects and customers, industry trends, and the competitive mobile landscape
- Educate, advocate, and influence within the company using knowledge and insights
- Find and nurture ideas from anywhere in the company
- Take accountability for results and work through others to achieve them
- Commit to at least 3 hrs of working overlap with the Americas timezone
- Build and launch mobile apps or work on tools and software used by mobile app teams
- Successfully take software products from "idea" to "shipped"
- Share customer stories and align the team around the customer's experience
- Be passionately curious and ask "Why?" one more time
- Have proficient skills with data sourcing, analysis, and presentation
- Possess exceptional organization skills and self-motivation
- Navigate ambiguity and take ownership of problems
- Communicate and collaborate proactively, "working out loud" to share work early and often
- Be an excellent writer who values clarity and brevity while avoiding jargon
- Nice to have: experience as a Product Manager on B2B SaaS products, especially in the MarTech space
- Nice to have: experience using Customer.io or other marketing automation services in a previous role.
Requirements
- Able to commit to at least 3 hrs of working overlap with the Americas (GMT-8 to GMT-5 timezone)
- Previously built and launched mobile apps or have worked on tools and software used by mobile app teams
- Successful track record of taking software products from “idea” to “shipped”
- An infectious energy when sharing customer stories, and you use those stories to align your team around the customer’s experience
- Passionately curious and love asking “Why?” one more time
- Proficient skills with data including how to source, analyze, and present quantitative and qualitative data
- Exceptional organization skills and self-motivated
- Experience navigating ambiguity and taking ownership of problems even when the next steps and solutions aren't clear
- A proactive communicator, and collaborator, who believes in “working out loud” to share work early and often
- An excellent writer who values clarity and brevity while avoiding jargon
- Nice to have: Working as a Product Manager on B2B SaaS products, especially in the MarTech space
