About The Position

Oracle is seeking a Product Engineer who combines hands-on software development experience with product judgment to make OCI cloud native services easier for developers and operators to use. The role involves understanding customer problems, defining and prioritizing solutions, and writing production code to deliver them. The engineer owns a defined feature area from discovery through implementation, release, and adoption, collaborating with product, engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to build developer tools and platform integrations. Success is measured by customers completing work more easily through reliable, maintainable software that responds to their needs. The engineer independently identifies customer needs and workflow gaps across CI/CD, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, and application operations; defines requirements, acceptance criteria, and backlog priorities; and sets success measures using customer feedback, adoption data, and telemetry. The role owns a bounded platform component or feature, designing, implementing, testing, and releasing production software within established architecture. It also builds APIs, integrations, and automation connecting OCI services, improves testing, deployment, observability, and secure development practices, and delivers documentation and adoption guidance. The position participates in operational maintenance, incident response, and on-call support for owned components. The engineer works with service and outbound product managers, solutions architects, and other outbound functions to analyze and prioritize customer requirements and create product documents. They manage scope, roadmap, priorities, milestones, and dependencies; communicate delivery risks; align cross-functional teams; and develop expertise in cloud platforms, DevOps, Kubernetes, and product management.
