About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to help customers adopt and scale applications using Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Container Instances, and Functions. This hands-on, customer-facing individual contributor role works directly with developers, platform engineers, and technology leaders to understand requirements, recommend architectures, and turn technical challenges into working solutions. The role involves designing and building prototypes, troubleshooting complex integrations, guiding migrations, and helping customers move from evaluation to production. Working with product management, engineering, and field teams, the architect develops practical solutions to adoption barriers and turns successful implementations into reusable architectures, automation, demonstrations, and technical guidance. The position includes customer discovery and architecture recommendations; hands-on solution development; migration and modernization guidance; deployment automation and reusable assets; production-readiness guidance; technical problem-solving and adoption support; product and engineering partnership; and technical enablement and advocacy. The U.S. hiring range is $87,800 to $209,500 per annum, with possible bonus and equity eligibility. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Assess existing container platforms and application dependencies; help customers plan migrations, validate compatibility, address architectural gaps, and establish a path from evaluation to production.
  • Create reference architectures, Terraform configurations, deployment examples, and technical guides; integrate infrastructure provisioning and application delivery with customer CI/CD workflows.
  • Guide customers on capacity planning, scaling, availability, upgrades, observability, security, backup, and recovery; validate assumptions and clarify service responsibilities and operational procedures.
  • Diagnose deployment, networking, identity, storage, and application integration issues; develop and validate workarounds where appropriate, coordinate with engineering and support, and help customers resolve adoption barriers.
  • Translate customer experience into reproducible technical findings, clear requirements, and business impact; contribute to architecture and API reviews, validate proposed capabilities, and help product teams prioritize improvements.
