About The Position

Wind River is seeking a customer-focused Senior Solutions Architect – Cloud Native / CaaS to join its Global Presales Organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Presales, this person will serve as a technical subject-matter expert and strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal teams, focusing on Cloud-as-a-Service (CaaS), cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, storage, networking, automation, and cloud migration technologies.

The role works with customers and cross-functional teams to understand business and technical challenges, architect solutions, demonstrate platform capabilities, develop proofs of concept, and build automation frameworks that support adoption and migration across heterogeneous cloud environments. The successful candidate will bring hands-on engineering expertise and customer-facing presales skills, taking solutions from concept through architecture, proof of concept, demonstration, and production adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 8 years of experience in solutions architecture, systems engineering, cloud architecture, technical consulting, presales, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud-as-a-Service (CaaS) and cloud-native technologies.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of storage technologies, distributed systems, and persistent storage for cloud-native workloads.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native networking and Kubernetes networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience developing automation using technologies such as Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, APIs, or similar tools.
• Experience designing and implementing proofs of concept and customer demonstrations.
• Experience developing automation frameworks for cloud migration, workload migration, or infrastructure transformation.
• Strong understanding of hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with highly technical engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel globally to support strategic customer engagements when required.
• Must engage in a security clearance process related to citizenship to perform fundamental job duties; candidates must have the legal ability to perform those duties.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, partners, and field sales teams throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Engage with customers to understand business objectives, technical requirements, application architectures, and cloud transformation strategies.
• Develop end-to-end solution architectures leveraging CaaS, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, storage, networking, and automation technologies.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and executive-level technical discussions.
• Deliver technical presentations and customized customer demonstrations that showcase platform capabilities and business value.
• Support account teams in developing technical strategies, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and solution positioning.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for technical and executive audiences.
• Design and implement proofs of concept and customer demonstrations.
• Develop automation frameworks for cloud migration, workload migration, or infrastructure transformation.
