About The Position

LiveKit is hiring a Senior Product Designer to design developer tools for testing, evaluating, debugging, and observing AI agents. The role focuses on simulations, evaluations, logs, and agent insights in a new product category without established design patterns. The designer will turn complex, real-time data into clear, actionable interfaces; create interaction patterns for AI-native workflows; prototype in code and partner closely with engineers to ship polished work; and contribute to a design system for dense, debugging-oriented surfaces.

Requirements

Have shipped design work for developer tools, observability, or data-heavy products.
Have strong data-visualization instincts and know when a chart is preferable to a table, and vice versa.
Be comfortable in code, including reading PRs, tweaking Tailwind, and building prototypes.
Earn the trust of deeply technical users and engineers.
Work hard and build and ship quickly.
Focus on polish, detail, and quality.
Learn quickly and frequently pick up new tips, tricks, and skills.
Be obsessed with making the best product for customers and be known as a go-to person for tackling tough problems.

Responsibilities

Own the design of how developers test, evaluate, and observe their agents, including simulations, evals, logs, and agent insights.
Turn complex, real-time data into interfaces that are easy to scan, understand, and act on.
Design interaction patterns for AI-native workflows where agents generate a first draft and humans adjust it.
Prototype in code and work hand-in-hand with engineers to ship polished work.
Contribute patterns to the design system for dense, debugging-oriented surfaces.
