About The Position

Anthropic is seeking a Product Designer for the Claude Developer Platform. Design at Anthropic combines craft, research, and product intuition, shaping how people experience AI through products used by millions. Designers work closely with engineers and researchers on emerging capabilities, stay close to the models, prototype rapidly, and operate comfortably amid ambiguity. The team values polished, trustworthy experiences while shipping quickly and iterating based on user feedback.

The designer will help define product vision and strategy, understand technical architecture, and create primitives and interaction patterns for new capabilities. The role calls for end-to-end product design across complex workflows, with a focus on developer tools and AI experiences. Designers are expected to use AI tools such as Claude Code in their own practice, move fluidly among design, code, and prototyping, and create interfaces that build trust and reveal the capabilities of AI technology.

Requirements

• Experience designing and shipping complex workflows, enterprise/B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products end-to-end.
• Proven track record of executing end-to-end on large and complex products, or a series of products, in ambiguous environments.
• A portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and polished UI craftsmanship.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code as a creative partner in design practice.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• A field of study relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

• Experience prototyping with front-end code, such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Passion for crafting scaled, highly impactful, safe, and beneficial artificial intelligence technologies to enable new possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, AI researchers, and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, and actively contribute to shipping.
• Understand the technical architecture of products and define primitives for new capabilities.
• Define feature areas with exceptional attention to detail and polish, identifying opportunities to improve the quality and consistency of broader flows.
• Craft polished and delightful user interfaces that build trust and showcase AI technology.
• Use code, design, prototypes, and new ways of communicating ideas and concepts.
• Find creative ways to ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment.
