About The Position

Anthropic is seeking a Product Designer for the Claude Developer Platform. Design at Anthropic combines craft, research, and product intuition to shape how people experience AI. The designer will work closely with engineers and researchers, often designing around emerging model capabilities, staying close to the models, prototyping quickly, and navigating ambiguity. The role emphasizes shipping quickly, learning from users, questioning established UI assumptions, and inventing patterns that feel native to AI while maintaining attention to visual details, copy, and edge cases. The designer will help define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps and contribute actively to shipping. They will understand product technical architecture, establish primitives for new capabilities, and shape feature areas with careful attention to detail, polish, quality, and consistency. The work includes creating polished interfaces that build trust and showcase AI capabilities, using code, design, and prototypes to communicate ideas, and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment. Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. The role follows a location-based hybrid policy: staff are currently expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more. The company offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
