About The Position

Cenovus is seeking a Senior Procedure Advisor for its Toledo Refinery to lead procedural governance and ensure operational documentation meets high standards of accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The advisor manages the full lifecycle of operational procedures, from development and implementation to ongoing improvements in documentation standards across the site. In collaboration with leadership and training teams, the role keeps procedures aligned with regulatory and industry requirements and builds site capability through training and change management. The position supports operational excellence, reliability, and risk reduction in a 24/7 refinery environment.

Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States.
At least 8 years of experience in a petrochemical operations organization or similar manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead governance of the Operations document control program, ensuring procedural documentation is accurate, accessible, and standardized across the refinery.
Design, develop, and implement procedure management strategies that advance operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Serve as the Single Point of Accountability for the enterprise-wide procedure framework, including standards, templates, classifications, and lifecycle management of Operations documents.
Direct and oversee management of change (MOC) workflows, ensuring procedural updates are documented, reviewed, and deployed with minimal operational risk.
Own procedure-related KPIs, analyze trends, identify systemic issues, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Partner with site teams on Operations Excellence initiatives, providing guidance on procedural performance and supporting broader improvement efforts.
