About The Position

As part of DTEX’s Architecture and Solutions Engineering organization, the Senior Solutions Engineer combines deep security expertise with strategic sales engineering. The role leads technical discussions with prospective customers, delivers product demonstrations, conducts threat analysis and forensics, and manages technical evaluations (POVs) through successful completion. It requires hands-on expertise in endpoint security, cloud platforms, and threat simulation, as well as the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied stakeholders. The position provides pre-sales and post-sales support to DTEX customers, partners, and sales team members, and contributes to the SE team’s technical collateral and knowledge base. The role calls for an independent, proactive self-starter who assesses territory needs and develops plans to achieve revenue goals. The engineer identifies opportunities and acts without waiting for direction, including through outreach, marketing events, professional networks, and contributions to team knowledge. Responsibilities also include developing and updating pre-sales materials, creating enablement videos, and maintaining technical collateral and white papers. The Senior Solutions Engineer owns the POV lifecycle, from scoping through execution and closure, and prepares post-POV analyses that communicate DTEX’s value, ROI, and security improvements. The position partners with sales and cross-functional teams, advises customers on solution design and implementation, conducts customer assessments, researches threats, tests insider-risk scenarios, evaluates product enhancements, and provides feedback on product and process improvements. It also monitors AI-related risks and customer use of AI tools, and advises on their implications for security posture and POV success criteria. The position requires enterprise pre-sales experience and substantial technical knowledge across insider risk management, cloud platforms, endpoint, network and system security, and related security technologies. It also involves maintaining an active lab environment for threat simulation and attack scenario testing, and requires ongoing professional learning. The role includes travel within the designated region and may be performed in a hybrid or remote environment.
