About The Position

Sanity.io is seeking a Senior Manager, Paid Media to lead their paid media program. This role will be responsible for strategy, measurement, and testing, and will build and lead a team. The position manages a budget of over $5M annually and collaborates with agencies, contractors, and internal teams like demand generation, ABX, and RevOps. This is the first dedicated paid media hire and includes people management responsibilities from the start, with plans to grow the team significantly within the first year. The individual will shape the function from the ground up, including hiring, coaching, and developing their team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in B2B paid media
  • Managing $5-10M+ annual budgets
  • At least 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • Deep expertise in paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok)
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads, DSP, and DOOH
  • Experience managing agencies and contractors
  • Experience building and running structured experimentation programs across creative, audiences, and channel mix at scale
  • Experience building paid media infrastructure: attribution, naming conventions, tagging, reporting
  • Demonstrated use of AI in paid media: bidding optimization, performance analysis, creative production, audience segmentation
  • Strong communicator who can present to leadership and align cross-functional partners
  • Familiar with B2B SaaS or developer tools, longer sales cycles, and buying committees

Nice To Haves

  • Paid media experience in developer tools, content platforms, or technical infrastructure
  • Familiarity with ABM platforms (Demandbase, 6sense) and account-based motions
  • Scaled a paid program from early stage to mature, multi-channel operation
  • Built AI-assisted workflows that go beyond platform defaults (e.g., custom models for bid management, AI-driven creative testing, automated budget reallocation)
  • Experience with Salesforce or HubSpot for closed-loop reporting

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the team: Manage two paid media contractors from day one, with a plan to convert them to full-time hires by January, and grow the team to 2-3 people within the first 12 months. Hire, onboard, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Own paid media strategy and budget: Plan, allocate, and manage a $5M+ annual budget across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, DSP, and DOOH.
  • Manage agencies and contractors: Brief, steer, and hold external partners accountable. Set the strategy and testing agenda.
  • Run paid social as a primary channel: Build audience strategies, creative testing frameworks, and campaign architectures for LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok.
  • Build the infrastructure: Stand up measurement frameworks, attribution models, tagging systems, and reporting dashboards. Work with RevOps and marketing ops to close the loop between ad spend and pipeline.
  • Run structured experimentation at scale: Design and execute testing programs across creative audiences, channels, and bidding strategies. Document findings and share across the organization.
  • Use AI to sharpen performance: Utilize AI for bidding optimization, audience modeling, creative iteration, and performance analysis.
  • Drive full-funnel programs: Develop campaigns that serve the entire buyer journey, from awareness through demo requests and pipeline acceleration. Coordinate with demand gen, ABX, content, and sales.
  • Report on what matters: Translate platform metrics into business outcomes like pipeline generated, cost per opportunity, and influenced revenue.
