Senior Manager, Global Order Management

Loftware•Portsmouth, NH

About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Global Order Management to lead the Order Management function from contract execution through billing readiness. This highly visible role combines team leadership, operational ownership, and deep systems expertise. The successful candidate will have strong functional knowledge of Salesforce and Sage Intacct and lead improvements in integration, automation, data quality, controls, and scalability. The Senior Manager owns global order management for new business, amendments, and cancellations; leads and develops the Order Management team; establishes consistent processes, service levels, controls, documentation, and escalation procedures; and serves as the senior escalation point for complex and non-standard transactions. The role monitors order backlogs, aging, and exceptions that could delay billing, and drives accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end execution. As a functional subject-matter expert for Salesforce and Sage Intacct within the order-to-cash process, the role oversees understanding of customer, contract, product, pricing, order, and billing data flows between the systems. It investigates cross-system issues, identifies root causes, coordinates sustainable solutions, translates business needs into functional requirements, and leads or supports process design, testing, UAT, implementation, validation, and user adoption. It also improves reporting and exception management for transactions requiring manual intervention. The role drives automation and continuous improvement by identifying integration gaps, manual workarounds, duplicate entry, spreadsheet dependencies, and data-quality issues; maintaining a prioritized system and process improvement roadmap; increasing automation and straight-through processing; measuring results; and supporting broader quote-to-cash and order-to-cash transformation initiatives. It strengthens controls and data quality, supports internal and external audits, and partners with Revenue Accounting on unusual contractual terms while maintaining separation between operational processing and technical accounting decisions. The Senior Manager establishes and improves performance metrics covering processing time, backlog and aging, first-pass accuracy, exceptions and rework, billing readiness, manual versus automated volumes, touchless processing, Salesforce-to-Sage Intacct integration and data-quality issues, and results delivered by system and process improvements. Success includes accurate and timely processing, reduced backlog and manual work, stronger automation and controls, standardized scalable global processes, measurable system improvements, and a high-performing, systems-oriented team.
