Senior Manager, Facilities Services Operations
About The Position
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Facilities Senior Manager to join the Infra Technology Team. This critical leadership role focuses on the technical execution of fab startup and the strategic scaling of a multi-fab services organization. The role bridges construction and full-scale production, ensuring facility infrastructure is deployed, commissioned, and scaled to support expansion goals. The position reports directly to the Director. The role leads the deployment and integration of facility services and systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, supports the transition to a multi-fab operating model, and works with construction, Tool Hookup (THU), and production teams to prepare facilities for operation. It also oversees resource allocation and headcount planning, establishes technical standards across fab environments, and identifies and mitigates risks to readiness and production milestones. This is a full-time, on-site position. The base salary range is $188,000–$244,000, with compensation dependent on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a benefits package and may include company incentive compensation based on organizational and individual performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in industrial facility management or engineering leadership.
- Expert-level understanding of industrial utility systems.
- Ability to design and implement a multi-fab services organizational structure.
- Proficiency in identifying technical bottlenecks during expansion phases and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Experience with large-scale CapEx projects and technical execution roadmaps.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional leaders.
- Change management leadership.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineer (PE) license; strongly preferred.
- Cleanroom or semiconductor environment experience; highly preferred.
- PMP certification; desired but not required.
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical deployment and execution of facility services required for fab startup and expansion.
- Lead the organizational transition to a multi-fab services model to support increased site capacity.
- Ensure facility systems are integrated and commissioned to meet advanced semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
- Partner with construction, Tool Hookup (THU), and production teams to minimize friction during the build-to-operate transition.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks that could delay fab readiness or production milestones.
- Oversee resource allocation and headcount planning for the expanded Facilities Services organization.
- Establish technical standards for facility operations across multiple fab environments.
