About The Position

The Senior Manager of Consumer Communications serves as the dedicated communications business partner to The Weather Company's Consumer business, including weather.com, The Weather Channel app, Storm Radar, Weather Underground, and the advertising business across those properties. This high-visibility individual contributor role is embedded with Consumer leadership in New York and is part of the Integrated Communications team. It reports to the VP, Integrated Communications and currently has no direct reports. The role's primary focus is internal communications: working with Consumer leadership to clarify and communicate business strategy, objectives, organizational expectations, and changes. It also partners with enterprise internal communications to keep the organization informed and connected to the broader company narrative. The role also owns communications strategy for major Consumer go-to-market and product moments, defining the stories told to the market and press. It works closely with external communications partners and agencies, Product and Lifecycle Marketing, and strategic and executive communications. The role brings internal and external communications together into a consistent narrative and measures whether employees understand the strategy and whether external stories are landing as intended. The successful candidate is expected to use AI thoughtfully and proactively to improve performance and work quality.
