About The Position

Clutch is hiring a Senior Manager, Business Operations to connect its commercial teams and help them work from consistent data and shared goals. The role sits in Finance and leads the Revenue Operations (RevOps) team, serving as an operating partner to senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Implementation, People, and Finance. The position owns the shared definitions, data, and processes that support commercial decision-making and takes on important work that does not yet have an owner, such as partnership strategy, new commercial models, and pricing and margin guidance. This is a people-management role in a fast-moving startup environment where many processes and tools must be built from scratch. The Senior Manager will coach the RevOps team, set priorities and team rhythms, and provide autonomy while expanding the team’s strategic scope. The role reports to the Director of Business Operations and works as a neutral partner across functions. In the first three months, the role is expected to learn the business end to end, build trust and establish priorities with the RevOps team, deliver an initial client-level margin and cost-to-serve analysis, develop an initial pricing and packaging perspective, and identify manual commercial processes that could be automated using AI. Within six months, the role will establish an initial deal desk with approval workflows and commercial guardrails, partner with Sales and Marketing on monthly business reviews, prioritize the RevOps roadmap, and launch AI-enabled workflows or automations with tracked time savings. Within nine months, the role should have a team and operating practices that function effectively without the manager’s direct involvement, deliver AI-enabled self-serve tools with measurable time savings, and be trusted by leadership to take on new unowned priorities.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of total experience combining consulting or banking experience with time as an operator inside a company.
  • People-management experience, including coaching individual contributors, giving direct feedback, making difficult talent decisions, and establishing team rhythms.
  • Startup experience in a fast-moving, changing environment where the candidate built structure; experience exclusively at large, established enterprises is not suitable.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including forecasting and building spreadsheet models from scratch that withstand scrutiny.
  • Ability to use AI to work faster and improve analysis, with sufficient foundational modeling knowledge to assess when AI output is incorrect.
  • Data-first and self-sufficient approach, including working with raw data, testing ideas with data, and checking AI-generated analysis.
  • Commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret commercial terms and reason about pricing, discounting, margin, and deal structure.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to guide executives through complex problems toward decisions and work effectively with account executives, customer success managers, and engineers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure, manage competing priorities, and adapt when circumstances change.
  • Strong follow-through and reliability in closing loops and completing commitments.
  • Collaborative temperament: ability to challenge constructively without taking sides, surface problems early, and resolve cross-team conflicts without escalation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability as the role evolves with business needs.
