About The Position

Roblox is seeking a Senior Live Ops Producer to run shared live moments from launch readiness through event close. This senior individual contributor will own launch sequencing, the war room, operational decisions during events, reward validation, and day-to-day communications with development partners. The producer coordinates studios, developers, and internal teams across overlapping events, partnering with the Senior Program Manager on dependencies and the Platform Events Designer on tuning. The global event calendar includes planned coverage on evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role builds production and readiness plans, coordinates testing and reviews, runs launch operations, leads incident response, monitors event health, validates rewards, and serves as the primary operational contact for studios and participating developers. It also maintains checklists and runbooks, contributes to retrospectives, and works with product and engineering on tools and automation to improve event operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in game production, live operations, or live event production, including significant experience on a live-service game or recurring content calendar.
  • Direct experience launching and operating in-game events, seasons, or content drops, with ownership of readiness reviews and release sequencing.
  • Experience leading live incident response and making timely decisions with incomplete information, including coordinating hotfixes and recovery.
  • A track record of managing delivery and communications with external studios, developers, or production partners.
  • Working knowledge of progression, virtual economies, and reward pipelines, with experience validating eligibility and award delivery.
  • Fluency with event telemetry and player feedback, and the ability to turn operational signals into clear priorities.
  • Strong written communication and production discipline, with experience using tools such as Jira, Airtable, Asana, or equivalents to keep complex launches organized.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Roblox development workflows, avatar items, and its player and creator communities.
  • Experience producing live broadcasts, in-game performances, or creator- and influencer-led programming.
  • Experience with competitive events, winner validation, or exploit response.
  • Experience operating for a global audience or building launch and incident runbooks from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Build production and readiness plans with studios and internal leads, including delivery milestones, integration deadlines, test plans, launch criteria, and dependencies for the program calendar.
  • Coordinate rehearsals and required QA, performance, security, policy, localization, and support reviews; track issues to resolution and make go/no-go recommendations.
  • Write and run the launch run-of-show across the hub, participating experiences, content drops, rewards, and player entry points, confirming timing, owners, and contingencies.
  • Coordinate launch timing with engineering, marketing, and developers; validate each release step and record decisions and changes.
  • Staff and lead the war room, establishing monitoring, coverage, incident priorities, and escalation paths for the full live window.
  • Make operational calls within agreed decision rights and coordinate release timing, hotfixes, pauses, and recovery with engineering; implement gameplay and economy changes with the designer.
  • Monitor event health, reward delivery, player reports, and sentiment with Data Science, support, and community teams; prioritize actions and keep partners informed through resolution.
  • Validate reward availability, eligibility, progression tracking, award delivery, and release timing; test the full player journey across the hub and participating experiences.
  • Coordinate winner validation with security, legal, and support for scarce rewards or competitions; investigate failed or incorrect awards and coordinate fixes and player remediation.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for studios and participating developers, setting expectations about milestones, integration requirements, readiness, and live changes.
  • Resolve delivery blockers, route design decisions to the designer, escalate technical issues to internal owners, and give developers timely information to plan around their games and communities.
  • Maintain launch checklists, incident procedures, and operational runbooks; contribute findings and partner feedback to retrospectives and post-event playbooks.
  • Identify recurring integration, monitoring, and reward problems, and partner with product and engineering on tools and automation.
