About The Position

McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Litigation team in Asheville, North Carolina. MGC is a civil litigation firm with 22 offices across 12 states and 31 years of experience. Remote or hybrid work options may be considered after training and integration with the team. The role offers a membership track with defined benchmarks and a formal mentorship structure. The ideal candidate has at least five years of practice experience and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina. Compensation is competitive, with monthly bonus opportunities.

Requirements

Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
At least five years of practice experience.

Responsibilities

Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, and provide thorough reports.
Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
