About The Position

Requirements

• Strong litigation background, specifically in landlord-tenant habitability defense.
• Relevant insurance defense experience involving habitability claims.
• Hands-on litigation experience rather than transactional real estate experience.
• At least 10 years of experience for senior attorneys; the posting also states a 4-year minimum for junior attorneys.
• Experience representing landlords, property owners, or insurers in relevant disputes.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and litigate a diverse caseload from inception through trial and resolution.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Develop case strategy, conduct legal research, and analyze evidence.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and support staff.
• Maintain client relationships through clear, consistent communication and updates.
