The Senior Learning Design Professional uses instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Learning Design Professional analyzes needs, organizes content, designs solutions, and writes facilitator guides, storyboards, scripts, performance support resources, mobile learning solutions and manuals. Conduct need analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary and proposes right-fit solutions. Analyze knowledge and skill needs and partners with subject matter experts to gather input for course content. Write learning objectives and coordinate performance assessments to measure training effectiveness. Plan, organize, and develop training curriculum, materials, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs. Develop multi-modal learning material, including instructor-led and self-paced training. Familiar with using learning system platforms and collaborative tools to deliver and support learning. Provide instruction and guidance to Learning Facilitators. Ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs. Track and analyze the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement. Creates and maintains project documentation to drive to completion. Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to facilitating training with markets. Provides guidance and mentorship to junior learning and development associates.
