The Learning Design Professional 2 uses instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Learning Design Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. They make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and require minimal direction, receiving guidance where needed. The Learning Design Professional 2 analyzes learning and performance needs, organizes content, designs solutions, and writes facilitator guides, storyboards, scripts, performance support resources, mobile learning solutions and training manuals. Analyze learning needs and partners with subject matter experts and senior learning staff to gather input for course content. Write learning objectives and coordinate performance assessments to measure training effectiveness. Plan, organize, and develop training curriculum, materials, job performance aids and programs to meet specific learning needs. Develop multi-modal learning material, including instructor-led and self-paced training. Familiar with using learning system platforms and collaborative tools to deliver and support learning. Tracks and analyzes the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement. Ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs. Provide instruction and guidance to Learning Facilitators. Follow learning and developing standards that allow for some opportunity for deviation and independent discretion.
