About The Position
The Senior Lab Support Lead is primarily responsible for lab administration, with secondary duties in testing, quality assurance, designing and maintaining lab topologies, and documentation. The role involves procuring, installing, configuring, maintaining, and replacing lab equipment, as well as supporting testbed availability and system provisioning.
Responsibilities
- Procure, rack, and stack lab equipment.
- Insert, remove, and replace hardware and equipment.
- Manage hardware and equipment cables, optics, and RF connectivity.
- Trace and replace fiber cables.
- Power on and boot hardware and equipment.
- Identify and replace failed equipment in a timely manner.
- Bring up testbeds and configure and maintain high uptime for network switches, routers, wireless access points, wireless LAN controllers, UCS, servers, PDUs, Windows, Linux, and Mac clients, JFW attenuators, and mesh topology.
- Provision and configure hosts with various operating systems.
- Implement automation scripts for system provisioning, backups, and other repetitive lab tasks.
- Perform testing and quality assurance.
- Design and maintain lab topologies and documentation.
- Administer the lab.
