About The Position

Design Interactive is building a talent pipeline in support of the SOCOM Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) proposal effort. The anticipated Knowledge Management Analyst position will support the program in the functional area described below. Employment is contingent upon contract award, final Government requirements, funding, and candidate qualification for the Senior (SR) labor level. Work location, travel, schedule, citizenship, and clearance requirements remain to be confirmed. This role involves working with subject matter experts, operators, and delivery teams to capture knowledge that exists primarily in practice and convert it into accurate, reusable, governed content supporting mission continuity. The contractor shall be capable of working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and shall be able to independently perform the most complicated and technical support tasks. The contractor must have the experience and capability to support assigned tasks and lead journeyman and junior-level support personnel.

Requirements

  • Experience eliciting, documenting, organizing, validating, and maintaining operational or technical knowledge.
  • Ability to facilitate interviews, working sessions, after-action discussions, and knowledge-sharing forums.
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Experience applying taxonomy, metadata, content-governance, and quality standards.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the functional area and a master’s degree in a field relevant to the functional area.
  • Eight (8) years of additional work experience may substitute for the master’s degree, or four (4) years of additional work experience plus a relevant bachelor’s degree may substitute for the master’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews, knowledge-capture sessions, process walkthroughs, and after-action discussions.
  • Convert captured knowledge into reusable content and validate it with practitioners before publication.
  • Identify expertise at risk of loss and prioritize capture activities.
  • Capture decisions, lessons learned, and information exchange requirements from recurring mission forums.
  • Maintain continuity products across staff turnover and exercise cycles.
  • Facilitate communities of practice; onboard contributors; coach content owners on drafting, tagging, and maintenance.
  • Maintain taxonomy, metadata, content standards, source authority, provenance, and lineage records.
  • Analyze usage, search behavior, and participation to identify knowledge gaps; report content quality, stewardship, and reuse.
