About The Position

Design Interactive is building a talent pipeline in support of the SOCOM Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) proposal effort. The anticipated Records Manager position will support the program in the functional area described below. Employment is contingent upon contract award, final Government requirements, funding, and candidate qualification for the Senior (SR) labor level. Work location, travel, schedule, citizenship, and clearance requirements remain to be confirmed. This role manages the records program by translating policy and retention requirements into practical governance, guidance, training, compliance monitoring, and documented disposition activities.

Requirements

  • Experience managing or supporting an enterprise records-management program.
  • Knowledge of retention schedules, disposition, inventories, vital records, compliance, inspections, and audits.
  • Ability to interpret policy and provide practical guidance.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the functional area and a master’s degree in a field relevant to the functional area.
  • Eight (8) years of additional work experience may substitute for the master’s degree, or four (4) years of additional work experience plus a relevant bachelor’s degree may substitute for the master’s degree.

  • Experience reviewing repositories for records implications or coordinating with a records authority.

Responsibilities

  • Manage retention-schedule application, inventories, disposition recommendations, compliance monitoring, and vital-records identification.
  • Interpret policy for program and mission content and guide content and system owners.
  • Serve as program interface for records requirements, requests, inspections, and audits.
  • Coordinate processing activities; monitor throughput and backlog; confirm approved dispositions are executed and documented.
  • Coordinate with the responsible agency records officer.
  • Review systems and repositories for records implications and recommend treatment.
  • Coordinate records training and report program status, compliance posture, and risks.
  • Be capable of working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and be able to independently perform the most complicated and technical support tasks.
  • Support assigned tasks and lead journeyman and junior-level support personnel.
