About the position

The job overview for this position is that Campbell Ewald is seeking a highly motivated Senior Integrated Strategist to join their Detroit team. The candidate will collaborate with account teams, creatives, and strategists to identify key challenges and ensure strategic implementation of communications for clients. They must have a strong understanding of strategic planning, consumer journeys, and media/digital channels. The Senior Integrated Strategist will also be responsible for developing insights based on performance and optimizing opportunities for creative teams. This role requires 3-5 years of strategy experience and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the integrated strategy and creative teams in understanding how to connect with consumers in a relevant and valuable way
  • Understanding the role of strategic planning for the agency and the client
  • Being digitally and socially fluent while also valuing other mediums
  • Understanding consumer journeys and how consumers engage with categories, as well as how media/digital channels intersect with these journeys
  • Being passionate about research and data to understand consumer engagement with messaging
  • Identifying and articulating the key barriers that a brand must overcome
  • Identifying the tasks the brand must complete to overcome these barriers
  • Identifying the right channels for completing these tasks
  • Understanding how all the creative elements in the communications plan work together
  • Learning performance and shifting messaging/narrative as needed
  • Developing insights based on performance and identifying optimization opportunities to brief creative teams
  • Bringing curiosity for people, their culture, and community experience
  • Having a passion for understanding how and why people behave when interacting with brands and channels
  • Presenting strategic planning in a way that brings it alive for the agency and clients
  • Disagreeing without being disagreeable
  • Having 3-5 years of strategy experience
  • Possessing secondary research skills
  • Having killer presentation and public speaking skills
  • Having a passion for storytelling

Requirements

  • Understand the role of strategic planning for the agency and the client
