About The Position

We are seeking a Senior HR Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, policy development, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive HR and payroll experience
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, especially California and New York
  • Experience in payroll management and using payroll software applications, Paylocity experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
  • Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding activities and exit interviews
  • Maintain employee personnel files including employee medical files
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientations
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity ensuring accuracy of wage calculations, tax withholdings, and deductions
  • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage employee benefits administration
  • Ensure compliance with coordination of leave administration (ie., CFRA, disability, etc.)
  • Respond to employee questions about policies, benefits, pay discrepancies, etc.
  • Review and update the employee handbook annually and stay ahead of state and federal labor law compliance changes
  • Perform monthly benefits reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies with the broker or carrier
  • Conduct internal audits of I-9s and assist with annual workers’ compensation audits
  • Assisting with the coordination of annual performance reviews
  • Handling initial employee grievances and escalating sensitive issue to senior management
