About The Position

Eurofins CDMO Alphora Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and independent Senior Formulation Scientist to lead formulation development activities within their Drug Product Operations team. This role involves taking ownership of projects from early development through GMP manufacturing, focusing on delivering high-quality oral dosage products. The scientist will drive formulation and process development, scale-up, and technology transfer, while also providing oversight of GMP production activities. As a senior team member, they will act as a scientific leader, collaborating cross-functionally, supporting client engagements, and contributing to business development initiatives. This position is ideal for an experienced professional with deep technical expertise, leadership, problem-solving, and client-facing capabilities.

Requirements

6-10 years of experience
BS or above in a relevant Engineering or Science-based field
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and statistics-based programs
Strong written and communication skills (candidate will be client facing)
Strong leadership skills/ability to manage junior formulators

Responsibilities

Lead and independently execute formulation and drug product development activities
Design and oversee formulation studies, process development, and GMP scale-up
Provide oversight and technical leadership for GMP manufacturing operations
Author and review protocols, batch records, SOPs, and technical reports
Troubleshoot complex formulation and process challenges, driving continuous improvement
Represent Drug Product Operations in client meetings and technical discussions
Support Business Development with technical expertise
Ensure full compliance with cGMP, GLP, SOPs, and safety standards
