About The Position

The Senior Finance Manager - Commercial is responsible for managing business planning, providing financial support for market line operations, key account management (KAM), and campus accounts. This position partners with operational, KAM, and market line leaders to provide financial support on improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited four year college or university required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 6 years’ related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Financial modeling experience required
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; highly proficient in Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial documents and procedure manuals
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to communicate complex data/analysis and financial concepts to non-financial personnel
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of an organization
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Self-confidence to challenge the status quo in pursuit of favorable change in financial performance

Responsibilities

  • Manages and executes commercial finance by developing appropriate metrics to measure growth to improve profitability, control expenses and enhance productivity
  • Lead the revenue assurance process with a focus on CPI and annual price increases, scope compliance review and billing review to ensure compliance with contract
  • Acts as liaison between GEODIS leadership and customers by interpreting financial data and providing financial guidance on necessary operational changes and/or enhancements
  • Identifies risks and opportunities in the business, and partners with the business operations leadership team to address
  • Manage the process flow and completion of Contract Logistics (CL) minor deals ( <$2M annual revenue), as well as pricing and costing requests for renewals, repricing, relocation of existing customers
  • Participates in contract reviews to evaluate and validate customer proposals and renewals, track and forecast profitability, startup budget/support from solutions modeling, and assist with billing setup
  • Manage financial and operational metrics and oversee finance analysts in validating and monitoring KPIs for Key Account Management, Market Line and Operations leadership
  • Oversees customer analytics to ensure the accounts are meeting financial and productivity goals
