The Sr. Field Technician, based in Newark, DE, is responsible for conducting field work and related operations for Mueller’s Smart Water Infrastructure business, specifically in the areas of non-invasive acoustic technologies for underground pipeline water leak detection, monitoring and condition assessment. The role includes leading field data collection and supporting various processes throughout the project lifecycle including planning and reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking, written, verbal communication and organizational skills. The Sr. Field Technician will lead a small team of 2-3 people on site and coordinate with the project management, subcontractor, and client teams. Additionally, this role involves providing project support including supporting project update deliverables, client meetings, subcontractor management and client communication. The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of projects including field testing, administrative tasks, data analysis, reporting, client management, project management and will involve travel within Newark, DE and the United States of America. While the position is based out of Newark, there may be travel required to other areas of USA up to 25% of the time. Most of the project work will be outdoors, conducting leak detection and condition assessment tests on water pipelines, with planning and reporting duties between deployments. The Sr Field Technician role will be responsible for leading field work for a large condition assessment project to assess 90-miles of water mains within the city of Newark, Delaware. This is a 1 year, fixed term opportunity.
