Senior Field Marketing Manager

Opal SecuritySan Francisco, CA
$180,000 - $250,000

About The Position

In an era of AI slop and infinite content, a well-executed, high-taste event has become one of the most effective ways to connect with CISOs and shape their perception of Opal Security. This role is responsible for ensuring that events leave a lasting impression, positioning Opal as the leader in agentic identity. Events at Opal are viewed as a critical pipeline channel, not merely a hospitality function. The ideal candidate will approach event planning with a focus on ROI, capable of analyzing costs per opportunity and making data-driven decisions about event participation. This position offers a unique opportunity to build the field and experiential marketing function from the ground up, with full ownership of decisions and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years field/event marketing in B2B SaaS, ideally security or infrastructure
  • Track record measured in pipeline and opportunities, not leads or attendance
  • Experience running intimate executive formats (dinners, roundtables) that attract CEOs and investors
  • Ability to own budget and defend event kill/keep decisions with data
  • Experience working directly with technical speakers and translating a practitioner agenda
  • A point of view on scaling a field function through leverage and AI, not linear headcount

Responsibilities

  • Own Opal's field and experiential motion end to end as a pipeline channel
  • Run the booth plus activation portfolio across identity events and practitioner events
  • Own the dinner and intimate format program start to finish
  • Manage speaker operations and CFP submissions, with our technical speakers as a critical asset
  • Own the regional event calendar, budget allocation, and per event ROI modeling
  • Coordinate partner hosted and co-branded events with channel partners, tied to the channel pipeline goal
  • Own the event to pipeline handoff to SDRs and AEs so programs convert to opportunities
