About The Position

The Senior EP Mapping Specialist provides technical, clinical, educational, and sales support for Medtronic’s EP mapping and navigation system (Affera) and other Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) products. Working with the sales team and internal and external stakeholders, the specialist supports product launch and adoption, develops and executes short- and long-term territory strategies, and contributes to growth of the mapping and navigation system. This is a remote position without a physical Medtronic worksite, but the employee must reside within the assigned territory and travel by car to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements

High school diploma and at least 8 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; or an associate degree and at least 6 years of related experience; or a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
Must reside within the assigned territory and travel by car to multiple accounts throughout the region.
Valid driver's license; active vehicle insurance is required, and driving record will be reviewed.
Ability to travel up to 75%.
Ability to move throughout a facility, use a phone, keyboard, and mouse, and visually interact with personal computers.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8 hours a day.
Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
Must be available within the assigned territory each day for unscheduled needs and may occasionally travel outside the territory, including overnight.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing, cardiovascular studies, life sciences, or a technical discipline, with at least 4 years of cardiac-field, hospital/clinic, or sales experience.
Proven track record with technical training assignments.
Experience in cardiac catheter ablation, an EP lab, a hospital/clinic, or EP medical sales providing technical or clinical support.
Ability to travel more than 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and CAS products.
Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on CAS product technology and related procedures.
Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
Support national, regional, and territory sales objectives and work toward achieving or exceeding sales goals across CAS products.
Develop and cultivate customer relationships to generate incremental business.
Partner with Account Managers, Regional Managers, and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
Collaborate with the local sales team to conduct customer training on mapping and other Cardiac Ablation Solutions products.
Collaborate and communicate with regional sales and clinical teams.
Represent Medtronic CAS products, services, and support to physicians and support staff.
Serve as a regional champion, sharing experience and helping others become proficient with mapping technology.
