About The Position

Sterling-Rice Group (SRG) is seeking a strategic, curious, and highly accountable Senior Digital Media Planner to join its Media team. This role will lead the development, execution, optimization, and measurement of integrated digital media plans across B2C brands, with a particular emphasis on retail/commerce media and performance marketing. The ideal candidate will combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution experience, understanding how to connect media investment to measurable business and sales outcomes. This individual should be comfortable independently leading media planning, working directly with clients and partners, and collaborating across various internal teams including Media, Account, Creative, Analytics, Production, and Ad Operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of digital media experience, ideally within an agency or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Meaningful experience developing and executing retail/commerce media strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more major RMNs, such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger, Albertsons, or Instacart.
  • Strong understanding of retailer first-party data, closed-loop measurement, attribution, ROAS, incrementality, and sales-based KPIs.
  • Experience across broader digital channels including programmatic, paid social, paid search, video/CTV, and direct publisher partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between brand-building and performance media and how channels work together across the funnel.
  • Experience managing campaign budgets, pacing, optimization, reporting, and financial reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn complex performance data into clear recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with campaign management, analytics, billing, and data-visualization platforms.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organization, and client-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tools such as Google Campaign Manager 360, Google Analytics, DoubleVerify, and similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Adriel, Domo, PowerBI and similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience with CPG and food & beverage brands strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of integrated digital media strategies and plans across the consumer journey.
  • Translate client business objectives, audiences, budgets, and KPIs into actionable media recommendations.
  • Evaluate media partners, platforms, proposals, and investment opportunities; lead negotiations and maintain strong partner relationships.
  • Partner with paid social, search, programmatic, traditional media, and other channel specialists to develop cohesive plans.
  • Present strategic recommendations, campaign performance, and optimization opportunities to clients and internal teams.
  • Lead retail/commerce media strategy across relevant retailer media networks and commerce platforms.
  • Plan and/or execute campaigns across platforms such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger, Albertsons Media Collective, Instacart, and other RMNs.
  • Apply retailer first-party audiences and data across onsite and offsite media, including sponsored search/product, display, video, and other commerce-media capabilities.
  • Connect retail media investment to business outcomes using metrics such as sales, ROAS, new-to-brand/customer acquisition, and incrementality.
  • Stay current on the evolving retail media landscape and educate clients and internal teams on emerging capabilities, measurement solutions, and best practices.
  • Oversee campaign implementation, trafficking, QA, pacing, optimization, and reporting.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards that translate campaign data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Analytics and other teams to strengthen measurement, attribution, and understanding of media impact on business outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate budget management, forecasting, reconciliation, billing, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Serve as a trusted media resource for clients and internal teams and maintain an in-depth understanding of client businesses.
  • Identify emerging platforms, technologies, consumer behaviors, and media opportunities; develop and share POVs and best practices.
  • Bring forward process improvements that increase consistency, flexibility, and efficiency.
  • Contribute to new-business pitches and broader agency initiatives.
