Senior Developer (Multiple Positions Available)
About The Position
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer in Palo Alto, California, to design highly scalable, high-performance IT solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements with high quality. The position is hybrid, with the option to report to SAP’s Palo Alto or San Ramon office. The Senior Developer takes end-to-end responsibility for features, from requirements through deployment, and independently handles techno-functional project and product solutions, including design, development, testing, and maintenance of custom solutions. The role promotes high-performance Agile software engineering, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction, while demonstrating strong development practices and sharing knowledge to motivate others. The role requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience, or a relevant master’s degree and four years of experience. Required experience includes four years in each of the specified programming, cloud, Agile, web, release, testing, automation, and distributed-systems areas. The annual base salary range is $169,576–$222,288; the targeted combined compensation range is $169,576–$252,600. Actual compensation depends on factors including education, skills, experience, role scope, and location. Variable incentive payouts depend on company and personal performance. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields and four years of such experience.
- Four years of experience programming with backend technologies including Java and NodeJS.
- Four years of experience programming with frontend technologies including AngularJS, ReactJS, SAP UI5, and JavaScript.
- Four years of experience with cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, and SAP BTP.
- Four years of experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Four years of experience with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JSON, and REST.
- Four years of experience with code building and releases.
- Four years of experience with testing and automation.
- Four years of experience with distributed systems including Microservices and Kafka.
