About The Position

Ariba, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer at its Palo Alto, California location to design highly scalable, high-performance IT solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements with high quality. The role has end-to-end responsibility for features, from requirements through deployment, and includes independently handling techno-functional project and product solutions, including design, development, testing, and maintenance of custom solutions. The position follows a hybrid work model, with the possibility of physically reporting to the SAP office in Palo Alto or San Ramon, California.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields and four years of experience.
• Four years of experience programming in backend technologies, including Java and NodeJS.
• Four years of experience programming in frontend technologies, including AngularJS, ReactJS, SAP UI5, and JavaScript.
• Four years of experience with cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, and SAP BTP.
• Four years of experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Four years of experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JSON, and REST.
• Four years of experience with code building and releases.
• Four years of experience with testing and automation.
• Four years of experience with distributed systems, including microservices and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design highly scalable, high-performance IT solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for features, from requirements through deployment.
• Demonstrate excellent development practices and share knowledge with and motivate others.
• Promote high-performance Agile software engineering, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
• Independently handle end-to-end project and product techno-functional solutions, including design, development, testing, and maintenance of custom solutions.
