About The Position

SAP Labs, LLC is hiring multiple Developers at its Palo Alto, California location to design, develop, and operate scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise applications. The role includes designing and implementing application features and systems, writing maintainable and well-documented code, conducting code reviews, and testing, deploying, and maintaining software. Developers collaborate with product, design, and cloud operations teams to define and deliver features; optimize and automate software delivery, including automated testing; and troubleshoot, debug, and enhance applications, including root-cause analysis and preventive actions. The position also provides application implementation services within specifications and project plans. Design work includes requirements analysis and design documentation, while implementation work includes error analysis and removal. The role typically extends, modifies, or adapts existing designs and may also contribute to new subsystems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, plus five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of these fields plus three years of experience.
Three years of experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Three years of experience designing and developing distributed microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js or Express.js, and Python.
Three years of experience designing and implementing enterprise micro-frontend platforms using React.js, Angular, and TypeScript or JavaScript.
Three years of experience building secure enterprise integration systems connecting internal platforms with external services using REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth2 authentication, TLS encryption, and enterprise identity management.
Three years of experience managing AWS and Azure operations using EC2, S3, RDS, and Terraform for scalable automated infrastructure deployment.
Three years of experience deploying and managing the lifecycle of containerized distributed services using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Three years of experience developing enterprise data persistence layers supporting Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL relational databases.
Three years of experience designing and developing workflow orchestration platforms for automated business processes using event-driven architectures with Kafka.
Three years of experience leading software platform delivery, including system architecture design, engineering planning, and code reviews.
Three years of experience with Agile development frameworks for iterative delivery of distributed software systems, including sprint planning, system design, and development cycles.

Responsibilities

Design scalable, secure, and high-performing applications and write clean, maintainable, efficient code.
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications that meet business objectives and user needs.
Conduct code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional product, design, and cloud operations teams to define, design, and ship features.
Optimize and automate software delivery, including automated testing at multiple levels, to support reliable frequent delivery.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance applications to improve performance and security and resolve customer issues, including root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
Provide application implementation services within specifications and project plans.
Perform requirements analysis, prepare design documentation, and conduct error analysis and removal.
Extend, modify, or adapt existing designs and contribute to developing new subsystems.
