About The Position

The Senior Customer Integration Engineer combines hands-on integration engineering with customer-facing technical leadership in multi-organization healthcare environments. The role works with state agencies, HIEs, EHR vendors, and implementation partners to determine how systems interact and exchange data, and supports integration delivery across customer projects, including enterprise initiatives involving multiple systems, organizations, and technical stakeholders. The engineer is expected to understand how individual integrations fit within broader customer initiatives, identify technical dependencies, and provide technical guidance. For designated customers, the role may involve sustained technical engagement across multiple initiatives while continuing to support other integration projects. This is a remote, U.S.-based position that may require 10–20% travel. The target pay range is $140,000–$155,000, with the proposed salary dependent on skills, experience, competencies, and location. Team members must pass a background check that includes criminal, employment, and education verification. Necessary work-from-home equipment will be provided.

  • Experience using SQL and relational databases for integration configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with FHIR R4, US Core, FHIR Implementation Guides, and REST APIs.
  • Strong systems thinking, including the ability to understand a customer's broader technical environment, recognize how individual integrations fit together, and recommend feasible implementation approaches.
  • Experience working with AWS services or similar cloud technologies to configure and troubleshoot integrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
