About The Position

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a full-time Senior Cook in San Jose, California. The role prepares food that is nutritious and properly flavored while meeting applicable federal, state, local, and company standards, guidelines, and regulations. The position may oversee food-service associates' cooking activities when assigned by the Food Service Director. The fixed pay rate is $31.25 per hour. The schedule is full-time, with days varying and hours of 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; additional details are provided during the interview. Previous cooking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• May oversee the cooking activities of food-service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director.
• Prepare entrees and other menu items according to established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after each use.
• Perform scheduled routine cleaning.
• Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
• Help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the food supply.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Assist the Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete assigned documentation, reports, and logs.
• Assist in cross-training employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
