Senior Civil Highway Engineer - HYBRID/REMOTE
About The Position
Parsons Corporation, a leader in integrated design and delivery of critical infrastructure for over 80 years, is seeking experienced Senior Engineers to join their Parsons New Jersey team. This role involves working on significant transportation projects, including the Newark Bay Bridge, Newark AirTrain, and Gateway Tunnel, as well as NJDOT projects. The position focuses on highway geometric design, utilities engineering, MPT design, and other civil/highway aspects. Positions are hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in the Newark, NJ office, with fully remote options considered for the right candidate. As a Senior Engineer, you will support major transportation projects, utilize new technologies, and grow your technical expertise within a company that fosters development, growth, flexibility, and creativity. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or a related field).
- Typically 8+ years of related work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Previous NJDOT and NJTA experience
- Experience with Bentley Open Roads and Autodesk Civil 3D
Responsibilities
- Perform highway, interchange, and street design, including geometric design, 3D modeling, drainage design, work zone traffic control, and construction staging.
- Develop construction specifications and material quantity calculations.
- Utilize engineering software and collaborate with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors.
- Lead projects and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
