About The Position

This role asks you to bring your expertise as a P.E. with 10 or more years of hands-on experience as a Highway Resident Engineer and/or Construction Manager with a broad understanding of highway/roadway construction and site safety to a different challenge: determining why an incident occurred. You will work alongside nationally respected experts on casework that is consequential to industry and society, and you will keep learning for the rest of your career. Prior forensic experience is not required. Robson Forensic will train you to apply your expertise in a forensic setting, based on our experience of nearly 40 years in providing expert witness services. You will delve into the "why" behind incidents and disputes, critically assessing decision-making, operational procedures, and the standards of care.

Requirements

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience (including DOT experience) in highway construction (excavation, paving, drainage, utilities, bridges and other structures, etc.), traffic control and safety in highway work zones, construction management, construction inspection, construction safety, means & methods, contracts, scheduling, estimating, subcontractor management, quality control, QC/QA testing, and incident and claims investigations.
  • Thorough working knowledge of highway construction site procedures.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to convey complex technical findings into a clear and objective deliverable for non-technical audiences.
  • A clean background screen, a driver’s license, and the ability to drive.
