About The Position

Robson Forensic is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a P.E. license and 10+ years of hands-on experience in highway construction and site safety to investigate highway construction incidents. This role involves analyzing construction procedures, writing reports, and providing expert testimony. You will work alongside experts to determine the causes of incidents and disputes, critically assessing decision-making, operational procedures, and standards of care. Prior forensic experience is not required, as the company provides training based on its extensive experience in expert witness services. The work blends collaboration with autonomy in a firm with over 100 professionals managing a portfolio of 50-70 projects/clients.

Requirements

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience (including DOT experience) in highway construction (excavation, paving, drainage, utilities, bridges and other structures, etc.).
  • Experience in traffic control and safety in highway work zones.
  • Experience in construction management, construction inspection, construction safety, means & methods, contracts, scheduling, estimating, subcontractor management, quality control, QC/QA testing, and incident and claims investigations.
  • Thorough working knowledge of highway construction site procedures.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to convey complex technical findings into a clear and objective deliverable for non-technical audiences.
  • A clean background screen.
  • A driver’s license and the ability to drive.
