About The Position

This position involves performing a variety of technical and supportive professional engineering tasks in both field and office settings, in conjunction with the Supervisor and Project Engineer. The role includes attending meetings for preliminary plan discussions, pre-construction, and other departmental meetings. The Civil Engineer will assist with the management of Maintenance Preservation Programs, arrange and manage maintenance contracts, and review associated drainage issues with district personnel. This role also requires managing various budget accounts and contracts. The position demands regular and predictable onsite job attendance as an essential function and requires a daily schedule that supports the Road Commission for Oakland County's hours of operation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
  • A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is preferred.
