About The Position
Seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer & Merchant to manage product selection, purchasing, and vendor relationships. This role is responsible for planning assortments, analyzing sales trends, and ensuring timely procurement to meet customer and business needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in buying or merchandising
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Excel and retail management systems
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase merchandise from vendors
- Analyze sales data to optimize product mix and inventory levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (planning, marketing, e-commerce, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform buying decisions
- Track and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and cost targets
