About The Position

Carvana is hiring a Senior Automotive Painter in Chandler, Arizona. The role involves professionally painting vehicles, blending adjacent panels, and paint correcting vehicles. Painters work in one of Carvana’s high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers, where vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed for sale. The role requires at least five years of professional automotive painting experience and skill with base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats. The position may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and pass a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Highly skilled in painting base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats, blending adjacent panels, and paint correcting vehicles.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Paint vehicles using base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats.
Blend adjacent panels.
Paint correct vehicles.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
Use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
