About The Position

Carvana is hiring a Senior Auto Painter for its Rio Linda, California location. The role requires at least five years of professional automotive painting experience. The painter must be highly skilled in applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint-correcting vehicles. Work takes place in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center using state-of-the-art tools. The position offers a pay range of $31–$39 per hour and advertises a $6,000 bonus.

The role is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning process, preparing vehicles to be inspected, perfected, and photographed before they are listed for customers. Team members may be required to work mandatory overtime based on business needs to support customer delivery commitments. The work involves a fast-paced, changing production environment and may include exposure to excessive heat or cold. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and pass a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
